Two men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary after police pulled over a car for a broken tail light.
The vehicle was stopped by patrol officers close to Dartford River on March 30.
Kent Police had reason to believe that the men may be linked to burglary and theft related offences outside of Kent.
The 43-year-old men were taken into custody but released on bail until April 19.
The investigations are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Two men were detained on suspicion of burglary and theft after officers pulled over a car near to the Dartford River Crossing for having a broken tail light.
“The vehicle was stopped by patrols from the Roads Policing Unit during the early hours of Wednesday 30 March 2022.
“Officers spoke to the driver and passenger and had reason to believe they may be linked to burglary and theft offences outside of Kent.
“The two men, both aged 43 and from Dartford, were taken into custody.
“They have since been released on police bail until 19 April 2022 whilst enquiries continue.”
