Case rates of Covid are still on the rise as the UK marks the two year anniversary since the first national lockdown.

On March 23, 2020, the first nationwide lockdown was introduced.

In honour of this memorable day – which is exactly two years today - the Marie Curie charity has organised a UK-wide national day to reflect.

This day of reflection is dedicated to communities to come together and remember, grieve, and celebrate everyone who has died from coronavirus.

Two years on, the UK is continuing to record thousands of covid infections every day, with vaccinations still available nationwide.

The latest Covid-19 case rates have been released for local areas in the UK and infections seem to be increasing in all south east London areas.
