A "chemical reaction" which lead to "chlorine gas" being released inside London's Aquatics Centre has left several people injured.
Emergency services received reports of a "gas-related incident" at the Aquatics Centre in London around 9.53am.
London Ambulance Service (LAS) is treating a number of patients at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park while the area has been evacuated and cordoned off.
A spokesperson for the Olympic Park said the incident involved “the release of a gas” at the Aquatics Centre.
The tweet said: “There are a number of casualties with breathing difficulties being treated by @Ldn_Ambulance."

London Aquatics Centre gas incident
The Metropolitan Police said officers are on the scene in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in east London following a “leak of noxious fumes”.
In a statement, the force said: “Officers were alerted by London Fire Brigade at 09:53hrs on Wednesday, 23 March to a leak of noxious fumes at the Aquatics Centre, Queen Elizabeth Park, E20.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service have also attended the scene.
“A number of people have been evacuated from the premises.”
The public has been urged to avoid the area surrounding the Aquatics Centre and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Meanwhile residents living close to the Olympic Park have been encouraged to close all doors and windows.
London Fire Brigade said a “high quantity of chlorine gas” was released inside the Aquatics Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London due to a “chemical reaction”.
The brigade tweeted: “Update Aquatic Centre in #Stratford. Due to a chemical reaction a high quantity of chlorine gas was released inside the centre.
“While we ventilate the premises we would ask those residents in the immediate vicinity to close their doors and windows.”
LAS added on Twitter: “We are responding to an incident at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and have a number of resources on scene. More updates to follow.”
London Mayor Sadiq Khan said: “I remain in close contact with our emergency services who are dealing with a gas-related incident at the London Aquatics Centre this morning.
“A number of people are being treated by London Ambulance Service. Please avoid the area which has been cordoned off and evacuated.”
In a statement earlier on Wednesday, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park said: "There has been an incident @AquaticsCentre this morning involving the release of a gas. The area has been cordoned off and evacuated.
"We're working with emergency services on site. There are a number of casualties with breathing difficulties being treated by @Ldn_Ambulance."
