A 17-year-old teenager has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop after a police chase in Slade Green.
Officers stopped a motorcyclist yesterday (March 10) at around 2pm.
The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit was authorised with support from the National Police Air Service.
Police collided with the vehicle to ensure no members of the public were injured.
A 17-year-old boy was then arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop.
He remains in custody at a south London police station.
Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Met Police said: “On the afternoon of Thursday, March 10, officers attempted to stop a motorcyclist in the Slade Green area.
“The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit was authorised with support from the National Police Air Service.
“At around 2pm officers made contact with the vehicle to ensure no members of the public were injured.
“A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop. “He remains in custody at a south London police station.
“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
