A man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a train at Grove Park station.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the incident shortly after 7.45pm yesterday (March 7).
An ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an advanced paramedic practitioner, an incident response officer, a clinical team manager, members of the Hazardous Area Response Team, and medics from London’s Air Ambulance by road attended the line.
He was treated at the scene and then taken to a major trauma centre as a priority.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:
“We were called at 7.47pm (March 7) to reports of a person hit by a train at Grove Park railway station.
“We sent a number of resources including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an advanced paramedic practitioner, an incident response officer, a clinical team manager, members of our Hazardous Area Response Team and we also dispatched medics from London’s Air Ambulance by road.
“Our crews treated a man at the scene and took him as a priority to a major trauma centre.”
