A man who was walking in Dartford with a child was thrown into the air when involved in a van crash.
The pedestrian was walking along Burnham Road when he was struck by the vehicle at around 5.15pm on Tuesday.
Kent Police says the van failed to stop after hitting the man – said to be in his 20s.
An ambulance was sent to the scene and the man was taken to hospital.
The victim's injuries were not life threatening and the child he was walking with was not injured.
An Eltham man, 38, was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
He has been released pending further investigation.
Officers are urging motorists with dashcams in the area to come forward as-well-as residents with private CCTV footage.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Witnesses and dashcam footage are sought by officers after a pedestrian suffered multiple injuries following a collision in Dartford.
“The incident happened on Tuesday 22 February 2022, as the man was walking along Burnham Road, with a young child.
“At around 5.15pm a van is reported to have mounted a pavement and struck the man, throwing him into the air.
“It is alleged the vehicle failed to stop and left the scene.
“Police and ambulance crews attended, and the victim, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital with several injuries.
“These were not described as life threatening.
"The child was uninjured.
“Officers are urging anyone with information to contact them, including motorists in the area who may have dashcam or residents with private CCTV footage.
