Rail companies operating in south east London are advising passengers not to travel on their services tomorrow ahead of Storm Eunice’s arrival.
Southeastern and Southern both anticipate significant disruption on Friday (February 18), with delays and cancellations expected due to trees and debris blowing onto the tracks.
An amber weather warning is in place, with forecasters predicting winds in excess of 50mph throughout the day in south east London.
A spokesperson for Southeastern said: “Because of the high risk of disruption and the likelihood of trees etc. blocking the lines, we recommend that you consider postponing your journey or working from home if possible.

“If you have already bought your ticket for Friday, you will be able to use it on Thursday or Saturday at no extra charge (or apply for a refund).”
Both operators are significantly revising their timetables ahead of the disruption.
A spokesperson for Southern said: “Thameslink and Great Northern services will be significantly revised on Friday with some changes to the Southern network.
“You will need to change trains to complete some journeys, as some Southern, Thameslink and Great Northern routes are being amended for the day.
“These changes will help the reduced service be more resilient given it's highly likely that there will be on the day disruption.
“The 50mph speed restrictions will mean trains will be delayed during their journey so short notice cancellations are also expected.”
Trains from Rainham will only run as far as Dartford, meaning passengers will need to use Southeastern services to complete their journey.
Trains between Hastings and London Charing Cross, stopping at Orpington, will not run via London Bridge.
Passengers will be able to use Southern, Southeastern, Thameslink and London Underground services where necessary at no extra cost to complete journeys.
