A man has been taken to hospital after being trapped in a van following a crash in Bexleyheath.
The incident happened at around 9.10am this morning when the van crashed into some street furniture in Long Lane.
London Fire Brigade were called to the scene and firefighters released a man who was trapped in the van due to his injuries.
He was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
Two fire engines from Bexley and Erith fire stations and a fire rescue unit from Bexley Fire Station were at the scene.
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision on Long Lane in Bexleyheath this morning.
"A van had collided with some street furniture.
"Firefighters released a man who was trapped in the van due to his injuries.
"He was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
"The Brigade was called at 0912 and the incident was over for firefighters by 0956.
"Two fire engines from Bexley and Erith fire stations and a fire rescue unit from Bexley Fire Station were at the scene."
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 9.04am today (2 February) to reports of a road traffic collision on Long Lane, Bexleyheath.
"We sent an ambulance crew and an incident response officer.
"A man was treated at the scene and taken to a hospital."
A Met Police spokesperson said: "Nothing more to add on this one - the road has now been reopened."
