It also has an acclaimed aquarium and natural history collection, plus you can even pick up and try some of the muscle instruments.
One TripAdvisor user said:"What an amazing place! Can’t believe we haven’t been here before. We had tickets for the aquarium at 10:30 and parked directly opposite the museum just before and had no issues finding a space. Lovely packed little aquarium with lots to see.
"The rest of the museum has so much to see and do, it really is amazing. Very easily accessible with the pram and no bits were out of bounds."
2. Brockley Market
The market has a rating of 4/5 and hosts a range of great street food and produce.
Held in a car part the market is a local favourite and is even an award-winning weekend spot with local artisan items.
One reviewer said: "I came here with a friend to check it out and it is a really impressive market! We loved Van Dough’s pizza- truly delicious and a wide variety of food to cater for all tastes.
"Lots of benches to sit and eat. It is slightly on the expensive side, but the pizza was worth it!"
3. Beckenham Place Park
The park gets a 4.5/5 rating with 36 out of 93 reviews giving the area an excellent standard.
Beckenham is the perfect place to visit if you are in need of an escape away from the hustle of the city.
The 96 acres of land is the largest open green space in Lewisham and even features ancient woodland.
One TripAdvisor user said: "A lovely park with great facilities, including children's playground and wild swimming lake, as well as a cafe and ample parking. Hosts regular events such as pop-up food courts."
4. Lewisham Market
The market grabs a rating of 4.5/5 and although receives mixed feedback most seems positive.
From fruit and vegetable stalls to hair products the market is a traditional part of the high street that locals seem to love.
One user said: "Lewisham market high street still going strong get your fruit and veg. Hair products nice hustle and bustle the real streets of Lewisham."
5. Lewisham Shopping Centre
Spend the day shopping at the local center that holds a rating of 4.5/5 and positive feedback.
The center has loads of great shops and on-site parking available too, meaning you don't have to worry about carrying all your new items home.
You can shop to you drop and visit the food area to grab a snack and even get your hair done.
