A man has been released with no further action after an arrest on suspicion of possession of a firearm and making death threats in Erith.
Police were called at around 7pm on Saturday evening (January 22) after a report was made of a dispute and a man was seen in possession of a firearm in Page Crescent.
A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and making death threats.
Armed officers attended the scene due to the nature of the call.
Two firearms were recovered during the incident.
Both firearms were found to be air powered weapons following an analysis.
The man was subsequently released with no further action.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at approximately 7pm on Saturday, January 22 after a report was made of a dispute and a man seen in possession of a firearm in Page Crescent, Erith.
“Officers attended and a man, aged in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and making threats to kill.
“Due to the nature of the call, armed officers attended.
“Two firearms were recovered.
“Following an analysis, both firearms were found to be air-powered weapons.
“The man was subsequently release with no further action.”
