A woman from Lewisham has been fined £1,320 for failing to self-isolate when returning from an Amber-list country in line with coronavirus regulations.
Sylvia Farcas was discovered to have failed to self-isolate on March 6, 2021 at 6pm after arriving in England from Romania.
Romania was regarded as an Amber list country at the time.
The 29-year-old was found guilty of leaving her “designated home address without reasonable excuse within the isolation period” during a hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on December 15, 2021.
Farcas, of Polecroft Lane, was fined £1,100 for the offence, ordered to pay £110 to fund victim services and costs of £110.
This was ordered to be paid by January 12, 2022.
