CCTV images have been released after a man subjected two passengers to a “tirade of homophobic abuse” before assaulting them on a south London train.
The attack took place just before 7.30pm on December 27, on a service between London Bridge and East Croydon station.
One of the victims suffered a broken toe for which he required hospital treatment.
Officers believe the man in the CCTV images may have information which could help their investigation.
