Police have launched an arson investigation after a pub in Dartford was reportedly set alight with rags soaked in fuel while people drank inside.
The Railway Tavern, on Station Road, Longfield, was allegedly set on fire at around 7.15pm on Thursday, December 23.
Police and firefighters attended the scene and extinguished the blaze, which damaged the outside of the building. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Officers are treating the fire as arson and enquiries remain ongoing, including a review of all available CCTV and speaking to further witnesses.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious, was in the pub at the time, or has information that could help officers, should call Kent Police on 01474 366149 quoting crime reference 46/264004/21.
