A man was fined more than £800 after being caught driving through Lewisham in an uninsured car.
Cong Van, 65, of Third Avenue, Eastchurch, was found to have driven his Audi along Brockley Rise shortly after 11am on May 7 this year without insurance, in breach of the Road Traffic Act.
He was slapped with a £826 fine for the offence during a hearing at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on December 9 after being found guilty.
This includes an initial £660 fine, £66 to fund victim services and costs of £100 which must be paid by January 6.
The defendant was also given six points on his driving license.
