Many parts of the country are already getting hit by snow with the recent storms and the freezing temperatures.

But the big question is whether Londoners will need to get their snow boots and sleighs out ready for snowy weather. 

The last few weeks have seen the region being hit with heavy rain and short showers of sleet. 

But in terms of snow, Met Office predictions show that there is little chance of snow coming to the capital in time for Christmas.

Instead, you may want to keep your raincoat near as you can expect a lot of rain and dark clouds. 

You can also expect ice with temperatures dropping below freezing degrees, so be wary on the roads and have a de-icer near. 

Although London will not be getting any snow before Christmas, there is a chance for some after. 

With very early predictions from the Weather Channel and the Met Office, suggestions that early January could see some snow come to the capital. 

So although London may not get any in time for Christmas, get ready for some in the new year.
