WELLING’s Poundland store has shut due to “essential maintenance work” being carried out.
The discount retailer confirm that the store, in Bellegrove Road, will be reopening – despite rumours among residents that the store had closed for good.
A spokesman for Poundland said: "The store is closed at the moment due to essential maintenance work being carried out.
“We're looking forward to reopening the store and serving our loyal customers in Welling.
“As soon as we've got a date for reopening, we'll be in touch."
The retail chain has been closed since early this year.

Poundland had temporarily shut 44 branches across England after lockdown measures were tightened in early January.
The retailer had also closed the doors of 120 stores in March 2020 but reopened the sites in May.
