A large group of people have all been charged with drugs offences after a series of raids at two commercial premises in Erith and Belvedere.
Eight people, including a 72-year-old from Welling and several others from London, have been charged
The Met Police's Specialist Crime Command said their detectives executed a number of warrants across London and neighbouring home counties on the morning of October 25.
The intelligence-led operation, was aimed at targeting high harm offenders who are suspected to be involved in the importation and distribution of Class A drugs into the UK.
Supported by officers from the Taskforce and National Crime Agency, the police force carried out raids at two two commercial premises in Erith and Belvedere, and a number of residential addresses.
The following people were arrested and charged and will appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 27 October.
- Terry Allen – 72 (04.01.49) of Wordsworth Road, Welling was charged with conspiracy to import class A drugs and possession with intent to supply class A drugs;
- Daniel Oliver – 50 (15.02.71) of no fixed address was charged with two counts of conspiracy to import class A drugs and conspiracy to supply class A drugs;
- Ermal Shtrezi – 39 (03.04.82) of Lyndhurst Road, N22 was charged with conspiracy to import class A drugs and possession of criminal property;
- Alexis Miranda – 62 (14.11.58) of The Roundway, N17 was charged with two counts of conspiracy to import class A drugs;
- Nigel Rodgers – 60 (01.07.61) of Olympia Way, Whitstable was charged with conspiracy to import class A drugs;
- William Adams – 74 (30.04.47) of Brunswick Field, Sittingbourne was charged with conspiracy to import class A drugs;
- Frank Asante – 46 (17.12.74) of Ledbury Road, W11 was charged with conspiracy to import class A drugs and conspiracy to supply class A drugs;
- Gary Hunt – 68 (21.10.53) of Hallsfield Road, Chatham, Kent was charged with conspiracy to import class A drugs.
A 59-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and has been released under investigation.
