Barclays has apologised to its customers after thousands couldn't access their banking services or app this morning.
The bank's Barclaycard and Barclay app were confirmed to be down at around 8 am this morning by the bank's UK help Twitter account.
They had reportedly fixed issues with their telephone and online banking that had experienced outages for around 6 am this morning, according to the Down Detector.
Customers took to Twitter to report the outages and express their frustration.

While another customer said: "Nothing is working on the app.
"Your website says everything is fine and you acknowledge the problem on Twitter. Seems you need to get your ducks in a row!!"
The bank has now reassured customers via its Service Staus page that their apps are operating again as normal.
On the Service Status page, the bank wrote: "Our app is now working – sorry it took us some time to fix the issue.
"If you’re still having issues – please tap home once you’ve logged in to the app and you’ll be able to see your accounts as normal.
