Lidl has confirmed the opening date for its latest store in north Kent, opening to customers this Thursday.
The German discount supermarket giants have confirmed that its newly build site in Coldharbour Road in Gravesend will open at 7am on October 21.
This is welcome news for shoppers after the opening was pushed back last week, with the store also creating around 40 jobs.
Lidl GB’s regional head of property, Adam Forsdick, said: "It is fantastic that we are able to open our doors and welcome local residents into our new store in Gravesend.
"This marks our second store for the area and we are delighted to be able to continue our investment in the local community and deliver even more of our multi-award winning products.
"We would like to thank everyone who has played a part in delivering this store and we look forward to serving our fresh, quality and affordable produce to everyone."
The Lidl will have a sales area of 1,325m² plus a bakery, customer toilets and bike and car parking along with two electric vehicle charging docks.
Customers will be able to find deals and offers on selected products on opening day including a Sharp portable loudspeaker at £39.99 and a Salter soup maker on Thursday at £17.99, as well as a Minky heated indoor airer on Friday at £24.99.
The opening times will be between 7am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
Lidl's Feed it Back scheme will also see surplus food produce given to local charities, including High Trinity School Gravesend who redistribute donated food to vulnerable families in the area.
