A BUILDER was hugged before his wallet was stolen in Gravesend.
The 26-year-old man was walking along The Grove when he was approached by two women.
One of them grabbed him from behind in a bear hug while the other held his arm.
They then took his wallet, which contained £85 cash, credit cards and a driving licence, from his pocket before running off along Parrock Street.
The first woman had blonde hair, slim and wearing a black and white checked coat.
The other woman was 5ft 5in tall, and had short and spiky black hair.
She was wearing a three-quarter length black coat and three-quarter length jeans.
Both of them were white.
Police are appealing for information about the incident which happened on New Year's Day at around 8.15pm.
