Retailer B&M has submitted plans to Dartford Council to open a new store in the area.
The bargain chain wants to open a new store on a former Homebase site in Princes Road in Dartford.
The store, located in Princes Road, is currently restricted to a DIY store so B&M has submitted plans for a change of use.
This is to “permit the display and sale of a wider range of goods”.
B&M stores namely stock staple food items, household furniture, toiletries, DIY and toys.
This is the only change to the store in which B&M has submitted to Dartford Council.
The application was submitted on Friday, July 30 and validated on Friday, August 6.
The current status is “awaiting decision”.
There is a B&M nearby in Gravesend High Street, with branches also in Strood and Chatham.
The full planning application can be found here for the new store at 394 Princes Road, Dartford, Kent, DA1 1LA.
The News Shopper has asked B&M for more information.
