Firefighters evacuated three people from a building shaken by an out-of-control double-decker bus in Sidcup.

The Brigade was called to the scene on Jubilee Way, outside Sidcup station, along with ambulance services, shortly before 4pm yesterday, following reports of a crash.

Police, who arrived on the scene soon after, said the building was evacuated to allow for a structural assessment to be carried out.

Two people received initial treatment from paramedics before being taken to hospital.

Fire crews from Sidcup, Eltham and Bexley fire stations attended the scene.

A spokesperson for the Met said: “Police were called at 4.02pm on Tuesday, August 17, following reports that a bus had collided with a building in Jubilee Way, Sidcup. 

“Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade. One person was treated for minor injuries. 

“The building has been evacuated to allow for a structural assessment to be carried out. Enquiries are ongoing.

“No arrests have been made.”
