A man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder in south east London after two people were taken to hospital with stab wounds.
Police were called early on Saturday morning (July 31) and found a man with stab injuries at a residential property in Woolwich, and a short while later a woman was found who had been stabbed in the hand.
Following reports of 'a man with a knife' loose in the area, a 27-year-old man was arrested and police said the incident was not thought to be terror-related.
Met Police have now disclosed that on August 1, Anton Rhoden, of Samuel Close, Woolwich, was charged with two counts of attempted murder.
He will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Monday, 2 August.
Officers and paramedics were called to Samuel Close early on Saturday morning and found a victim suffering from stab wounds.
The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
A short while later, police were called to reports that a woman had been stabbed in Plumstead Road. She was taken to hospital where her condition was assessed as non-life-threatening.
Enquiries into both incidents are ongoing. Anyone with information that can help the investigation is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 1451/31Jul.
