Long delays on the M25 today due to traffic in Orpington
There are severe delays on the M25 this afternoon.
Drivers are facing hour-long delays as they approach the Dartford Crossing from Kent.
Pictures show long trails of slow-moving traffic on the motorway.
Anyone travelling on the M25 anticlockwise has been told to allow for significant delays to their travel.
It is not clear what is causing the delays.
Travel between Junction 3 and the Dartford Crossing, a distance of just 6.6 miles, is estimated to take around an hour.
