Police have released an appeal for witnesses following a"shocking incident" which saw a man critically injured in Greenwich.
A man is 'fighting for his life in hospital' after men fighting in the street ended in a 'serious' stabbing in Greenwich yesterday.
Police have now released an appeal calling for witnesses to come forward after the "shocking incident that occurred in broad daylight outside people's homes."
Officers called to reports of men fighting in the street in Barge Walk on the Greenwich Peninsula at 4:23pm on Wednesday afternoon, June 2, found a man aged in his mid-30s suffering from stab injuries.
The London Air Ambulance was called and the victim was rushed to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
Met Police have now said that at this stage, it appears the incident involved the victim and three other men, all three of which were seen to run from the scene.
There have been no arrests so far, and detectives from the South East Basic Command Unit are investigating in consultation with officers from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
Detective Inspector Dave Ryan, said: “This was a shocking incident that occurred in broad daylight outside people’s homes.
"A man is now fighting for his life in hospital and we all need to work together to stop these acts of violence. I am asking anyone with information or phone footage to make contact.
