An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 17-year-old boy who was stabbed to death in south-east London earlier this month.
The teenager was arrested on Wednesday, and is being held in custody at a south London police station.
Levi Ernest-Morrison, 17, died after he was attacked with a knife in Sydenham on Saturday April 10.
Police officers were called to the junction of Hazel Grove and Sydenham Road at around 7.20pm after reports that someone had suffered stab wounds.
Four others have been charged in connection with the death of Levi.
Nichola Leighton, 36, of Lockwood Close, Sydenham, and a 17-year-old boy, have both been charged with murder and have been remanded in custody following an appearance at the Old Bailey.
Two boys, aged 15 and 14, were also charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon on Tuesday.
They have appeared at Bromley Youth Court and will remain in custody until their next court hearing at the Old Bailey on Thursday.
Police have not named the suspects aged under 18 for legal reasons.
Homicide detectives are appealing for any of Levi’s friends or acquaintances to come forward.
Levi’s mother, who did not wish to be named, paid tribute to her son, who she said loved helping others despite his own additional needs, which included autism and a drop foot caused by nerve damage.
His mother said his disability, which required him to use a walking stick, made him “like a target.”
Levi attended the Kaleidescope support group in nearby Lewisham, where he received support for his special needs.
