Major Transport for London (TfL) roadworks are set to cause travel disruption on the A2 in Bexleyheath for at least the next month.
The works are part of "essential" project to strengthen the bridge on the A2 at the Danson Underpass.
Running from Saturday, January 2, to Thursday, February 4, the works will see only one lane on the A2 open in both directions.
Lane closures will be in place day and night, and the London bound slip road next to the Audi garrage will also be closed to traffic.
And further disruption will be caused when the Danson Underpass is closed at nigt from 10pm to 5am from February 2 to February 5, and February 8 to February 11.
But TfL say the works will achieve essential improvements.
Namely they will be waterproofing the deck of the bridge, installing new bridge joints and resurfacing the bridge.
Maintenance crews will also be installing new central reservation vehicle safety barriers, and new street lighting columns.
