A person died on the tracks at Orpington station this afternoon.
Emergency services were called shortly before 2pm following reports of a casualty.
Sadly, a person was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are working to identify the individual and inform their kin.
Services through the station were severely disrupted as a result.
Although the station is now open, some trains are still unable to call.
Southeastern advise customers to check their train will call at Orpington via its website.
A police spokesman said: "British Transport Police were called to Orpington railway station at 1.57pm today following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Officers are working to identify the deceased and inform their next of kin."
