Police called to reports of a stabbing in Beckenham found a 15-year-old boy suffering a hand injury.
Officers were called to Croydon Road shortly before 4.30pm, following alarming reports from members of the public.
The victim was found with a minor injury, not a stab wound. He was taken to hospital by paramedics.
No arrests have taken place, as enquiries into the event continue.
