A man was hit after a car crashed into him and a wall on Plumstead High Street this morning.
Two men suspected of dangerous driving were arrested after the crash, which happened around 11.44am on Thursday morning (April 16).
Images taken at the scene showed a large group of emergency vehicles including at least two fire engines and a number of police and ambulances.
One eyewitness said a pedestrian had been trapped beneath a vehicle in the wake of the crash.
Responding to a request from News Shopper, a spokesperson for the Met Police confirmed that a man had been hit by a vehicle in the crash and suffered a leg injury.
"At approximately 11:44hrs on Thursday, 16 April, police were called to reports of a car that had collided with a wall and a man in Plumstead High Street, junction with Wickham Road, SE18.
"Officers, London Ambulance Service, and London Fire Brigade attended. A man was found suffering leg injuries. His injuries are not deemed to be life-threatening or life-changing," they said.
The Met added that two men had been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and hit-and-run offences:
"An 18-year-old man A and a 23-year-old man B were arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and causing injury by dangerous driving. They are both currently in police custody.
"Enquiries continue."
