A patient inside Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich has been diagnosed with coronavirus.
Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust confirmed at 2:40pm today (Monday, March 9) that it had a confirmed case of coronavirus.
In a statement, they said that an inpatient within Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) had been diagnosed with Covid-19, but that services remain open as usual.
This marks the first confirmed case of coronavirus in the borough of Greenwich, with three cases already confirmed in Lewisham and one in Bromley.
The trust are currently working with Public Health England and are contacting all patients and staff who may have had contact with the patient as a precautionary measure.
If you have not been contacted by Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust by the end of the day (Monday, March 9) then you are not considered at risk.
Services remain open as usual, so the trust is advising members of the public to attend hospital appointments as planned.
