A new football academy for children is launching in Bromley with backing from two league players.
Newport County star Ade Azeez, born in Sidcup, and Wrexham player JJ Hooper, born in Greenwich, are launching Kixx alongside co-owner and teacher Jude Imo-Itah.
The new venture will kick off with two free discovery days in Mottingham and Biggin Hill.
Ade is aiming to encourage Bromley families to get active with the launch of the new academies.
He said: “We are delighted to be launching our first Kixx Bromley Academies in an area that’s very close to our hearts.
“Football is a sport of unity and our academies will provide skills that are used on and off the pitch. Our academies will provide all children with a chance to grow.
“The values, the care and the passion the Kixx brand displays are all qualities that matched up to our own.”
JJ, who is well-known to Bromley FC fans, is remembered for scoring 19 goals in 25 matches during the second half of the 2018-2019 season.
He said: “Football as a child is something you should enjoy, to have a laugh and create memories that will last forever.
“It's an awesome opportunity to spend a morning getting active and having fun.”
The discovery days are free for those aged two to six and are open to all children including those who have not played before.
The events will be held at The Eric Liddell Sports Centre in Mottingham on April 4 and at The Darwin Leisure Centre in Biggin Hill on the April 5.
Places are limited for the Kixx Bromley discovery days. To book a place post a direct message on the Kixx Bromley Facebook page.
