ON SEPTEMBER, two Penge groups, the Friends of Royston Field (FORF) and the Royston Estate Residents' Association joined forces to lead a community clean-up of their area, in conjunction with Bromley Council.
As part of the day, young players from the Groves Football Team helped FORF raise its new People for Parks flag, awarded by the council for work done on Royston Field.
Both groups have recently been awarded a merit certificate by London in Bloom in the Neighbourhood Achievement Awards category, for the second year running.
This recognises their joint work in seeking to improve their local environment.
