AT THIS month's meeting, members were introduced to Kevington Hall in Bromley, a Palladian villa built by Sir Robert Taylor in 1767 for a London merchant banker.
The building had endured unsympathetic repairs and alterations over the years which required a dedicated interest to preserve this listed treasure and it is gradually being restored by the present owners who rescued it from its derelict state in 1987.
Speaker Mrs Jackson passed around pictures of the property and invited members to visit and see the progress made. It was a talk with a difference.
Our next meeting will be at 7.45 pm on November 7 at Pickhurst Junior School Hall, Pickhurst Lane, when David Halkin will present his talk Kilimanjaro - Never Again.
