A SCHOOL has admitted its mistake after pupils were made to line up in 'colour order' when having their photos taken.
Children were racially segregated during the photo session at Sandhurst Junior School, Minard Road, Catford.
The headteacher Val Hughes will be writing to all of the parents to apologise for what happened on October 17.
One parent said: "My daughter came home and told me that when they were having their school photos taken they had to line up in colour order."
Ms Hughes said: "On this occasion, teaching staff took the professional advice of the photographer.
"We can see this was an error of judgement and we regret this greatly.
"Contrary to reports, however, the children were not upset in any way and really enjoyed having their photos taken.
"Our school has an excellent record of promoting diversity.
"I will also raise our concerns with the photographer to ensure this never happens again."
