A "tragic accident" involving a teenager who remains critically injured after his scooter reportedly crashed into a bus stop is no longer a police matter, the Met has confirmed.
The boy, 14, was taken to hospital by an air ambulance after emergency services were called to Monks Orchard Road in Beckenham just before 11.45am on Saturday.
We understand the boy remains in a critical condition after suffering a serious head injury.

In an updated statement, police said: "Enquiries into the circumstances were made; this has been deemed a tragic accident and there is no further police involvement."
Police, paramedics and an air ambulance responded to the crash on Saturday and the boy’s next of kin was made aware of the accident.
