The victim, 13, was in Penhill Park, Sidcup with his sister and friend when "two young males and a young female" attacked on Saturday evening.
Officers were called at 8.50pm and a statement on Blendon and Penhill Police read: "One of the boys was taken to hospital last night and it is currently unsure whether his elbow is broken due to the amount of swelling.
"During the assault the bat was broken which was recovered by officers at the scene.
"Three names for the suspects have been provided and the descriptions match the ones that were commented on last night so we will be doing further CCTV enquiries once we have established an approximate time for the sightings."
