A teenage boy is in critical condition after his electric scooter reportedly crashed into a bus stop in Beckenham.

The boy, 14, was taken to hospital by an air ambulance after emergency services were called to Monks Orchard Road just before 11.45am on Saturday.

A police spokesman said: "A 14-year-old year old boy was found with a serious head injury after it was reported his scooter had collided with a bus stop.

"He was taken by air ambulance to hospital where he remains in a critical condition."

The boy’s next of kin has been informed and police say enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
