Plans to turn an old night club in Erith into a youth centre and church have been put to Bexley Council.
The Household of Faith Ministry have put forward a scheme to renovate a former night club and warehouse in Pier Road into a youth centre, conference space and place of worship.
The premises has been empty for over a decade, according to planning documents.
The church said in a planning statement: “It is considered that change of use is acceptable as it would bring a vacant unit back into use and contribute to the vitality and viability of this part of the shopping area.
“The site will be community halls with aim to provide facilities for youth centre, worship, day centre and other community activities.
“Previous business format was not economically viable and left unoccupied for more than ten years. However a lack of community halls at Erith centre create opportunity to fill this increasing demand.”
