A pair of marathon mad twins have revealed how they've collectively competed in more than 300 races together, and now they hold a world record to prove it.
Theresa Massey, 45 and of Welling, and her twin sister Julia Wellings of West Wickham, currently hold the Guinness World Record for completing the most marathons as twins.
The prestigious award was given to the speedy sisters in 2017 after completing their 68th marathon event together.

However, according to Mrs Massey, this figure only represents a fraction of their astounding endurance efforts as they have since gone on to push their athletic boundaries to the max through self-set challenges.
"I've run 180 marathons and my sister has done close to 140.
"I started in 1994 and she started around seven years ago because she wanted to get faster for her netball team.
"She started enjoying it and we set ourselves a challenge to do one marathon a year, then one a month, then one a week," said Theresa.

At one point, the daring duo even competed in an extreme 10 day marathon event which took place across the Kent coastline.
"We ran them during the winter and it was absolutely freezing!," she joked.
Both women even appeared on the BBC's coverage of last weekend's London Marathon, which helped Theresa cap off her 180th race.

Aside from the health benefits and well-deserved medals, Theresa explained that the joy of competing together has helped the pair become closer sisters than ever before and also allows them to travel around the country to visit family while they run.
"What's nice about it is when we’re away, we're not only spending time together but we also get to see my family as my mum lives in Brighton and my brother is in Bournemouth.
"What’s really nice also is that we’ve inspired our children to take up running too.
"My son is a regular marathon runner and our husbands have run marathons as well," she said.
Theresa and Julia put their near superhuman abilities down to the regular training regime with the Danson Runners group who are a free-to-join collective of ambitious running enthusiasts.
In order to hit the 200th marathon milestone, Theresa now has her sights firmly set on an upcoming race in Bournemouth with plenty of family celebration planned for when she hit's the finish line, if she can make it to the pub that is!
