A Crayford boxing MC has said he would be happy to "get into the ring" with thieves after around £15,000 worth of "irreplaceable" fishing gear was nicked from his lock-up overnight.
Duncan Newton, 51, arrived at his lot, also in Crayford, earlier this morning only to discover that heartless thugs smashed open two Chubb locks and raided his belongings, some of which he has owned since he was eight years old.
"I got a call from a mate who told me to get down there as soon as possible.
"They knew what they were after because they went for mine rather than anyone else's," said Mr Newton.

Among the pilfered possessions were a number of expensive, custom made angling rods; a £400 tent designed for long fishing trips; sonar devices; and some brand new fishing rods which belong to his nine-year-old daughter Emma who recently has taken a keen interest in the hobby
"She'll be devastated when I tell her. It's absolutely heartbreaking," he said.
Discernibly, a custom-fitted road with a metal butt cap engraved with the West Ham symbol with the words 'BIG DUNC' etched around it was also pinched in the late-night break in.
Along with his prized fishing gear, thieves also helped themselves to a number of casino tables; a £1,000 roulette wheel; disco lights; and an array of casino chips, items which he used to rent out for parties as part of his previous business.

"I've spent all day putting photos up all over Facebook and calling some angling shops I know who buy in old angling gear.
"You don’t realise how these things add up, the total worth might even be more by the time I’ve finished making the list," he said.

Police have been notified of the incident and have been contacted for more information.
