Officers in Plumstead have given the all-clear following reports of gunshots in Winn's Common earlier this afternoon.
According to reports on social media, nearby residents could see a number of police cars swarm the area earlier today with some recalling the sound of gunshots being heard.

However, a spokeswoman for the Met has since confirmed that no evidence of gunshots was found at the scene.
She said: "Police were called to Winn Common Road, SE18 at approximately 3:08pm on Saturday, April 6 to reports of shots fired.
"No evidence of gunshots were found at the scene.
"There has been no arrest. Enquiries continue."
