Visitors at Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup are being warned by police to stay vigilant as the car park has become a recent hotspot for tool thieves.
According to a recent post on the Sidcup Police Facebook page, officers have received numerous reports of thieves breaking into vans within the hospital car park.
The post goes on to explain that although officers patrol the area regularly, incidents are still occurring and the hospital security staff have been made "well aware" that the car park is being targeted.

When asked for a comment, a spokeswoman for the Oxleas NHS Trust, which oversees the operation of the hospital, said: "We have been made aware of a small number of incidents during the past month involving vehicles parked at Queen Mary’s Hospital.
"We have alerted the contractors on site and offered advice on safety and security. All car parks are regularly patrolled by attendants.
"We would ask visitors to the hospital to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity immediately to an attendant or to reception."
