A little girl has chopped 40cm of her hair so it can be used to make wigs for sick children.
Marzuqah Shaikh, seven, a student of Oaklands Primary Academy in Biggin Hill, wanted to do something positive after learning more about cancer.
"I am very happy that my hair will be used to make someone happy," Marzuqah said after donating her hair to the Little Princess Trust.
Her mum, Yasmeen Shaikh, said her daughter has always been persistent and she was proud of her good nature.
"She kept asking ‘when are we going to do it’ and I knew she wouldn’t give up.
"She was really moved by the website and her young mind was interested to do something."
The girl’s ponytail was chopped at home and mum Yasmeen said her daughter has had no regrets since.
It is the second time in recent weeks a caring girl in the borough has donated to the Little Princess Trust.
Summer Clark, from Hayes, decided to grow her hair for three years after her classmate was diagnosed with leukaemia.

Her school pal is now cancer-free and Summer managed to raise over £2,000 for charity.
On Summer's JustGiving page one contributor wrote: "You don’t know me but I think you’re an amazing young lady, well done."
