Police have arrested a man in the last hour after reports of a gunman being spotted in Brockley.
Armed officers swarmed on Sprules Road at around 3pm after 999 calls reported that a man armed with a gun and a machete was on the street.

A spokesman for the Met said "people were seen in possession of weapons and a firearm".
He added: "A man has been arrested on suspicion of firearm offences. Officers remain on scene and are carrying out ongoing enquiries."
A woman who was near the scene told News Shopper: "It was all really frantic at the time."
She said people on nearby Drakefell Road told her to "turn back" because a man with a machete and gun was on the loose.
Police said they could not yet release further details of the man arrested.
