A 15-year-old boy is in hospital after suffering a cut to the head in Eltham.
Greenwich MPS say he was attacked in Eltham Road at 4pm and they can not yet confirm whether a weapon was used.
A spokesman for the Met said an "urgent investigation" was underway to find out what happened.

A Greenwich MPS statement read: "He's at hospital suffering a cut to his head, where we await assessment of his condition.
"Enquiries underway to confirm whether any weapon was used. No arrest at this stage. Witnesses should call police on 101 quoting CAD 5109/mar12."

Officers are waiting on updates regarding the boy’s condition after social media reports suggested an axe was used during the incident.
However, police would not confirm whether this was the case.
