A man has been taken to hospital with a head injury after police were called to reports of a fight in Lewisham this morning.

Officers attended to the incident alongside the London Ambulance Service shortly after 6am today (March 12), not far from Hither Green railway station.

The man in his 50s was found by emergency services with the head injury before being taken to hospital for treatment.

Scotland Yard say they are currently awaiting an update regarding his condition while a crime scene remains in place.

No arrests have been made at this stage, the force added.
