Police have warned people to keep knives off the streets after a stop and search in Beckenham resulted in a 27-year-old man being charged.
Steven Jeffries, 27, of no fixed address, was stopped by officers in Beckenham Road on Friday (February 15) and was allegedly found to be carrying a large knife and cannabis.
Penge & Cator police said Jeffries was charged with possession of an offensive weapon and possession of cannabis.

A police spokesman said he had been remanded in custody until February 21.

Just days after Jeffries was arrested a "male youth" targeted kids in Beckenham High Street where he threatened two boys with a knife.
