An image of a suspect has been released by police after two teenage girls were sexually assaulted on buses.

The first girl, 13, was assaulted on the 126 bus towards Eltham at around 3pm on November 15.

Another victim, also 13, was targeted in a "prolonged sexual assault" an hour later on a 273 bus in Grove Park.

Detective Constable Darren Barlow said: "These were appalling sexual assaults in public on two young, vulnerable girls who were left shaken and distressed by the attacks.

"I would urge anyone who recognises the man in these pictures to contact police immediately and provide a name."

The suspect is of Mediterranean appearance, in his mid-20s, around 5ft 6ins and of medium or athletic build.

He had short hair and a trimmed beard, and wore a dark coat, black trousers, blue trainers and a black cap.

Anyone with information on the man is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 3945/16NOV.
