A dramatic police chase in Orpington resulted in a crash where a suspect fled the scene yesterday.

Police had been chasing a vehicle after it failed to stop for officers before the accident on Sevenoaks Road at around 5.30pm.

A spokesman said: "The suspect vehicle was involved in a collision with another vehicle driven by a member of the public."

One suspect suffered a non-life-threatening head injury before a fellow occupant fled the scene.

The innocent driver caught up in the police pursuit was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say enquiries are ongoing to locate the suspect who ran away.

Road closures were in place last night (February 6) and helicopters flew overhead, but the area is now back open.
